On Monday, 23 April, a team of 8 NOAA divers from the Seattle area participated the NOAA Western Regional Center’s Earth Day festivities by conducting two dives to clean up Lake Washington. Together they collected enough garbage from the bottom of Lake Washington to overfill a 55 gallon garbage can! Other NOAA employees at the WRC participated in this event by cleaning trash from around the campus.
|The NOAA divers were CDR Joel Dulaigh, LCDR Dan Simon, LCDR Keith Golden, Zach Hileman, Nick Jeremiah, John Pohl, LT Nicky VerPlanck, and Katie Mahaffey.|
